We at Fabbes care about sustainability.
We have arranged several talks about a sustainable and environmentally friendly lifestyle and we also try to think about these things in our work at the café. When possible, we choose fruits and berries from our own garden and during the summers we often pick wild flowers. We recycle our waste as much as we can and also try to donate money to charity during the year.
We are a small café and wish we could do even more but on the other hand we also know that everyone has different possibilities to help. Everyone does this according to their own situation. We also serve vegan lunch every day and every now and then we try to serve game meat as well. We make everything ourselves and have become experts at avoiding food waste! If we can say that about ourselves, that is. We have our late lunch concept of selling leftover lunch during the last opening hour for only 4 € and we also try to sell leftovers via the ResQ app, an app with the mission to save food from becoming waste.
We also think wellbeing is an important part of a sustainable lifestyle and therefore we really try to listen to our workers’ needs and wishes regarding working hours, as well as trying to give every customer the perfect warm-hearted experience when visiting us. And as time go by, we hope to get even better at all these things.
Something that makes us really glad, is when customers bring their own take away boxes and cups! We wish to create less trash and this way it works really well. So, if you want to, feel free to bring your own boxes and cups when buying take away!
